Fire-Rated Semi-Recessed Automated External Defibrillator and Fire Extinguisher Cabinet

AED CABINETS are fabricated of Galvannealed Steel 20 gauge recessed box; 22 gauge tubular steel door with 20 gauge frame and continuous steel hinge. All components are powder-coated with an electrostatically-applied, thermally fused, recoatable white polyester finish.

Clear acrylic glazing door panels provided. The flush pull handle unlatches the door to open.

A 120 dB alarm with on/off keyed switch to discourage meddling is provided. The alarm indicates an emergency, and someone is removing the AED.

FIRE RATED

Potter Roemer proudly manufactures fire-rated cabinets for use in fire-rated assemblies. Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. has classified and listed Potter Roemer's fire-rated option for 1-hour and 2-hour combustible and non-combustible wall systems. The fire-rated option eliminates the costly need to line the wall opening with fire-rated material. It also provides the specifier with assurance that the wall penetration will maintain its integrity and meet building code specifications.

All boxes for Potter Roemer FRC cabinets have a double-wall of steel. The space between the double walls is lined with a fire-rated insulation material. FRC cabinets are available for those designed for recessed and semi-recessed applications.

• Galvannealed steel construction - Galvannealed steel is the result of galvanizing a sheet of steel, then annealing it. Its harder, more brittle surface accepts paint more easily, with no pre-treatment required. The excellent corrosion resistance that results when the alloyed coating is painted is useful in many applications that demand long service life.
