Fire Rated Fire Dept. Valve Cabinet

This fire-rated cabinet is designed to hold a 2-1/2" (6.4 cm) fire department valve with cap and chain. Models with the -10 suffix also include a 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" Reducer and 1-1/2" Cap. The cabinet is constructed from a 18 gauge (surface-mounted models) or 20 gauge (recessed models) steel box 22 gauge tubular steel door and 20 gauge steel frame with continuous steel hinge. All components are powder-coated with an electrostatically-applied thermally-fused recoatable white polyester finish. The inner cabinets are covered with fire-rated insulation material and a steel fire protection box to provide the UL fire rated compliance. All glass door styles provided with clear tempered safety glass.

FUNCTION: FRC1810 Series cabinets accommodate a single 2-1/2" (6.4 cm) fire dept valve with cap and chain; FRC1810-10 Series cabinets accommodate a single 2-1/2" (6.4 cm) fire dept valve, 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" Reducer and 1-1/2" Cap; The cabinets are UL Classified per the standard for UL 1479 - Penetration Firestop Systems UL File no. R15411; Fire Rating: 2 Hours.

REGULARLY FURNISHED: The inner cabinets are covered with fire-rated insulation material and a steel fire protection box to provide the UL fire rated compliance.
